@Fridaphile: My dad was way into juggling, and it was one of the more exciting parts of my childhood. We would go to the park every Tuesday night and hang out with other jugglers, and they would pass clubs and swing torches and eat fire and whatever. We even went to a convention once, in ~*~Glamourous Pittsburg~*~ (hey, I was 11) and it was full of interesting, if unwashed, people.
The highlight of the convention was the exhibition/competition at the end. This guy was only a kid at the time, but he was performing with the adults because he was too cool for the junior division. He won.
In the junior division, one kid did a routine to the song A View To A Kill that involved a trampoline. Lo and behold, my first crush was born.
