Pocket Full of Sunshine

Remember that scene in Easy A when she gets a card that plays “Pocket Full of Sunshine” and at first she’s all “Ugh, worst song ever” and then by the end of the weekend she’s belting out on her bed? 

My older brother gave me a Darren Hayes (aka “That Guy from Savage Garden”) album for Christmas. I put aside my WTF and listened to it when I was cleaning this morning and it was pretty good. So I started it over and listened to it again.

By lunchtime, I was singing along to some of the songs on the album and totally dancing around my kitchen.

By the time I was walking Oscar back from the dog park, I was on approximately my tenth listen of this song and I decided I don’t even give a fuck, I love this Darren Hayes album and I am not even going to take any shit because that is some awesome pop music right there. 

I still hate “Pocket Full of Sunshine,” though. Hate it a lot.
